The Central Louisiana Community Foundation (CLCF) is thrilled to announce the recipients of the Opportunity Grants for this cycle. Launched in April 2018, the Opportunity Grants Program offers small grants ranging from $250 to $2,000 to eligible organizations across Central Louisiana. These grants support projects that address pressing community needs and promote the well-being of our residents. We are proud to support the impactful work of the following organizations and their innovative projects.
Junior League of Alexandria
Project Name: Diaper Depot: A National Diaper Bank for CENLA
This project addresses diaper need by establishing a National Diaper Bank in Louisiana, helping low-income families and promoting infant health.
Hope House of Central Louisiana
Project Name: Social Emotional Learning for the Children of Hope House
Hope House provides stability and resources for homeless families, using grant funds to support children’s emotional and educational development.
Serving Grace
Project Name: Cultivate After School Tutoring
Serving Grace’s Cultivate program enhances literacy and math skills for elementary students, funded to improve curriculum and teacher training.
Special Olympics Louisiana
Project Name: Special Olympics Louisiana Unified Champion Program
The Unified Champion Schools program promotes social inclusion through sports, benefiting students with and without intellectual disabilities.
