A Perfect Fit Foundation Fund was created to honor Jerry Harp, a shoe salesman. For 50 years he worked at the same shoe store and his mission was always to find his customers the Perfect Fit.   "He lived by the notion that a well-fitted pair of shoes was the foundation to good posture and good health," said Willie Harp, Jerry's son.

The goal of this fund is to give the perfect fitting shoes to elementary school children in need at no cost to them.    The fund presents shoe vouchers to the Rapides Parish School Board for children in need every year.  

Each year to help raise funds, The Perfect Fit Foundation Fund hosts a pancake breakfast on the 3rd Thursday in September.  The cost of the breakfast is $7 and the event is hosted at St James Episcopal Church.
